(3199) First Look: Getting Started

with the 2007 Microsoft Office System

 

The primary audience for this class is the IT Professional who generally works with Windows technologies. The types of duties that are typical of this IT Professional are administrative and support duties such as planning and deployment of server products in a Windows environment, configuration and security administration. These IT Professionals will have some stake in deploying Office 2007 in the future. This class will provide guidance on how to deploy Office 2007. IT Professionals will leave knowing the deployment scenarios across IT Professional segments and their next steps for learning and resources.

 

After completing this class, students will be able to:

  • Describe the Office 2007 deployment scenarios.

  • Describe the changes to the deployment and installation technologies used by Office 2007.

  • Describe the tools available for implementing Office 2007.

  • Describe the concepts and business technologies for IT professionals.

  • Describe the changes to the Office architecture.

  • Describe the UI changes for Office.

 

Prerequisites:  To get the most out of this class, participants should have the following:

  • 1 year experience with Windows client and server operating systems.

  • Experience installing, configuring, and supporting Microsoft Office technologies.
