ADO.NET 2.0 provides new
features for building data-driven websites and smart client
applications. In this session, we'll look at the new
features in ADO.NET 2.0 and how they are used with SQL Server
2005. We'll go over DataSets and Multiple Active
ResultSets and look at DataBinding and Caching in ADO.NET.

SQL Server 2005 now has
native support for XML for improved performance and
capabilities. The native XML datatype can be applied to
columns, variables and parameters. New XML indexes and
support for XQuery allow queries to be executed across XML
without diminishing performance. We'll look at how to use
XML with SQL Server 2005.
